教育从来不是一间教室的局限，而是一种流动的力量，潜藏在校园与社区的每一个角落。它可能是一堂启迪心智的课程，也可能是一句温暖的提醒；可能来自讲台上的学者，也可能来自幕后默默守护的工作者。教育无处不在，正因如此，我们才能在日常点滴中，遇见师者、遇见世界、遇见未来。
在这个特别的日子，西交利物浦大学以摄影为媒，面向全体师生征集那些令他们铭记的瞬间。

遇见师者
在"遇见师者"主题下，镜头聚焦那些常被忽略的教育工作者，如行政部门员工，他们在传统课堂之外为学生提供指导与支持，当然肯定也包括我们各学院的教师。

在"遇见未来"主题下，通过捕捉学生们的探索、逐梦与成长的精彩时刻，彰显学生所代表的未来力量；同时记录每一位教育工作者如何以自己的力量影响着未来。

2025 开学典礼的舞台后面，那一刻，他们肩并肩，心里装着同一首歌、同一个目标，把积攒了一整个夏天的期待一起点亮 —— 原来归属感就是，还没开口，就已经彼此听见。上场前，他们交换过眼神，“加油，我们一起把夏天唱完！”

在暑期课程的学生与我共同参与一项注意力训练时，这个场景自然而然地发生了—— 我让他们集中脑力操控蜘蛛机器人移动。当学生们专注尝试时，我也单膝跪地与他们平视，并告诉他们：“创业不是硬性思考，而是全心感受。”他们心领神会，最终成功完成了任务。欢迎来到创新创业教育。顺便一提，我们亲爱的同事红阳也尝试了这个任务，并且非常享受这段体验！

To celebrate 2025 Educators’ Day, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University invited all staff and students to capture the unique moments of XJTLU for a special exhibition titled “Meet the Educator, Meet the World, Meet the Future”. We believe that making educators and their achievements visible on this special day is the sincerest salute and best celebration!
The aim of this very special university-wide project is to capture and showcase the countless ways that everyone in the XJTLU community contributes to our vibrant educational environment and distinctive educational models. Through these images, we want to convey that “Education happens everywhere”.

At the 2025 commencement ceremony, the Executive President leaned down and solemnly signed his name on the student's right leg in a cast. The mark left by the pen on the cast became the most unique graduation message.

Meet the Educator
Under the theme of ‘Meet the Educator’, the images highlight those often-unseen educators—like our professional services staff—who do so much to provide guidance, support, and mentorship beyond the traditional classroom, and of course our faculties.

Dr. Stephen Shaw from the Department of Applied Mathematics at School of Mathematics and Physics, was teaching calculus. [If you visit the Honour Square on South Campus of XJTLU, you’ll find a sculpture dedicated to him — the teacher who went viral in 2011 for “kneeling to give his students a lesson”.

Amid the vibrant sea of graduation gowns, the Executive President approached the line of students—then paused, gently pressed down his cap, and bowed his head. It was not a salute, but a passing of the torch; without a word, he spoke volumes of legacy. And in that very moment, a graduate captured it all.

Meet the World
Under the theme of ‘Meet the World’, the pictures highlight our vibrant international community, illustrating how we open the world through our education, and by fostering global connections, cultural exchange, and international research.

In the summer of 2025, Hungarian students visited Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Inspired by President Youmin Xi's motto, "To truly master Chinese, one must first immerse oneself in its culture," they experienced the elegance of Suzhou's traditional culture through fan painting and woodblock New Year print making.

Meet the Future
Under the theme of ‘Meet the Future’, we showcase that our students are the future with images that capture moments of discovery, ambition, and growth, and where an educator—in any form—helps to shape what comes next.

Backstage of the 2025 opening ceremony, shoulder to shoulder, they carried the same song and the same dream in their hearts, igniting all the anticipation stored up over the summer. Belonging, it turns out, is understanding each other without saying a word. With a glance before stepping into the spotlight, they whispered:“Let’s go—we’ll sing this summer all the way to the end.”

Graduation season has arrived, and students clad in academic gowns are bidding farewell to their campus life, ready to embark on another journey full of anticipation. The author captures the scene from an elevated perspective, framing them within the architectural lines as if watching a vibrant stage play. In this moment, they are the protagonists of the play and the witnesses to each other's youth.

The scene spontaneously took place when both students from our summer school and I got naturally engaged regarding an attention booster excersice which I consisted in using their brain power to move the spider. As they struggled with it, I also went on my knees to connect with them at a deeper level and shared with them a simple yet powerful sentence "entrepreneurship is not about thinking forcefully, it is about feeling it" . They got the idea and succeeded. Welcome to the future of entrepreneurship education. By the way or dear colleague EEH's Hongyang tried the task and loved the experience!
