From Indonesia to XJTLU
Thalia, Jocelyn, and Hellen are girls came from Indonesia, each with a different dream yet drawn to the same place—XJTLU. Thalia sought to master Chinese while studying in English; Jocelyn was inspired by her brother’s experience and a passion for both finance and mathematics; Hellen discovered a perfect match in Industrial Design and a university that encouraged both creativity and language growth.
三位女孩均来自印度尼西亚，怀揣不同求学梦想却被同被西交利物浦大学吸引。Thalia 渴望在英语环境中学习，同时提升中文水平；Jocelyn 受哥哥影响来到西浦，追逐对金融与数学的热情；Hellen 发现西浦开设的工业设计专业与自身兴趣完美契合，从而了解到这所既鼓励学生创造力又促进中文成长的大学。
In their first three years at XJTLU, their paths seldom crossed. That all changed in their final year—the year of graduation—when the three grew truly close. Through campus life, their involvement in the SISC (Suzhou Indonesian Students Community), their bond grew stronger. As deadlines loomed and futures took shape, they leaned on each other—sharing ideas, and career opportunities. It was during this chapter that a Deli Campus Recruitment Talk organized by XJTLU Career Centre caught their attention.
在西交利物浦大学的前三年，他们的生活轨迹鲜有交集。直到毕业那年，三人的关系才真正紧密起来。通过参与校园生活和苏州印尼学生社团（SISC）的活动，女孩儿之间的友谊日益深厚。临近毕业，他们互相分享对未来的规划与职业机遇。正是在这个阶段，西浦就业中心举办的“得力校招宣讲会”吸引了她们的注意。

Encounter with Deli: Meeting at the Campus Recruitment Talk
Each semester, the XJTLU Career Centre organises “Campus Recruitment Talks” with leading enterprises. These talks are offering students direct access to internship and full-time opportunities. Beyond job listings, the talks provide a platform for students to gain in-depth understanding of company culture, industry trends, and career pathways.
西浦就业中心每学期都会组织企业专场校招宣讲会，旨在为学生提供获取实习及全职岗位的直接渠道，也助力学生深入了解企业文化、行业趋势及职业发展路径。
Having already been familiar with Deli through its stationery products even before the recruitment talk, these three girls decided to attend the session together after receiving the email notification from the Career Center, hoping to explore potential job opportunities.
实际上在参加宣讲会前，Thalia、Jocelyn和Hellen已经通过身边随处可见的得力文具产品了解到这家企业。在收到就业办发出的宣讲会邮件通知后，他们决定一起去听听是否有合适的岗位机会。
During the session, Deli’s HR representatives provided a comprehensive introduction to a range of topics that students were interested in, including its production base in Indonesia, available job positions, employee benefits, and salary packages. Following the session, all attending students took part in one-to-one initial interviews with Deli's HR representatives on site.
宣讲会上，得力校招经理详细介绍了其在印尼的生产基地、校招岗位、员工福利、薪资待遇等一系列学生感兴趣的问题。并在当晚宣讲会现场，既与所有在场学生开展了一对一的初步面谈。

A Seamless Path: The Efficient Deli Interview Experience
To their surprise, the interview process moved forward quickly. Within just one week after the recruitment talk, they completed both phone interviews and final-round interviews with the department heads of their applied positions. It is worth noting that, due to the requirements of the roles at Deli Indonesia, all interviews were conducted entirely in Chinese. Although they felt somewhat nervous given that their spoken Chinese was still developing, they successfully passed all rounds of interviews.
让他们感到惊喜的是，整个面试流程推进的很快。宣讲会结束后一周内，就先后进行了电话面试和与应聘岗位部门主管的终轮面试。特别值得一提的是，由于得力印尼的岗位需求，所有面试全程使用中文进行。由于他们的中文口语水平尚在提升阶段，全中文面试让他们颇感紧张，但幸运的是，他们都顺利通过了面试。
A few days after the final interview, they simultaneously received offer confirmations—all three successfully joined Deli Indonesia. The entire recruitment process was so smooth and efficient, filling them with excitement for the career journey about to begin.

When asked why they all chose to join Deli Indonesia, the three graduates' answers were remarkably aligned—their decision to join Deli Indonesia was no coincidence, but a well-considered choice shaped by multiple factors.
当谈起为什么都选择加入得力印尼时，三位女孩的回答异常一致：选择加入得力并非偶然，而是多重因素共同作用下的最佳选择。
Career alignment stood out as their primary consideration. Hellen shared that during her job hunting, she found it challenging to secure entry-level positions related to product design. The product development role at Deli Indonesia, perfectly matched her academic background. Such a relevant opportunity proved particularly valuable for a fresh graduate.
职业匹配度是她们首要考量因素。Hellen坦言，她在求职过程中发现与产品设计相关的初级岗位十分稀缺，而得力印尼公司提供的产品开发职位，正与她的专业背景高度契合。这种学以致用的机会，对应届毕业生来说尤为珍贵。
Brand recognition also played a key role in their decision-making. As a stationery brand ever-present in daily life, Deli had already become part of their campus experience. "At XJTLU, many of the supplies we used were from Deli," Hellen noted. "Joining a brand I've known since I was young made me feel truly at ease."

As international students educated in China, the bilingual work environment offered by Deli not only allowed them to continue improving their Chinese but also provided a valuable opportunity to learn from both Chinese and Indonesian business practices. According to Mr. Jia, Deli's Overseas Recruitment Manager, these three XJTLU alumni have been deployed across key departments: Thalia in Finance, Jocelyn in Production Planning & Inventory Control, and Hellen in R&D.

Any Advice for Your XJTLU Juniors?
Thalia
Learn Chinese as much as you can! It’s an incredibly valuable skill, especially if you plan to work in a Chinese company. Also, Study hard and develop practical skill — such as Excel, data analysis, etc. Lastly, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
Jocelyn
It is very advantageous to have a job related to what you studied, and it is a great situation to secure a position directly after graduation. However, it is not the end of the world if you don't. The most important thing is to find your own pace and build the life you want.
Hellen
Be brave and stay open to every opportunity. Don’t feel discouraged if you can’t find a job in China — there are still many opportunities to work in Chinese companies or environments outside of China.
Remember, every rejection is just a step closer to the right opportunity. Don’t give up if one or two companies turn down your application; keep searching, keep applying, and one day you’ll find the position that truly fits you.
