Fengxian's "Afternoon Tea for Orders" Wraps Up with "Business Tea" for Global Expansion Time:2026-01-07

The tenth session of Fengxian's "Afternoon Tea for Orders" recently took place. With the theme "Going Global", it addressed the overseas development needs of local companies. In a relaxing setting, companies with overseas experience shared insights, those planning to expand abroad voiced their needs, and the government and service providers engaged directly. This event provided a warm and insightful "business tea", creating an open and efficient platform for local companies to explore new opportunities.

The event had a relaxed and friendly vibe. Entrepreneurs sat around a round table, chatting and sharing ideas freely. Government staff mingled with them, creating a more informal and dynamic interaction, moving away from the usual rigid government-enterprise meeting format.

At the event, experts from entities like Ding & Associates Patent Trademark & Law, Shanghai International Technology Exchange Market, and the National Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response Guidance Center offered in-depth insights and practical advice. They covered key areas including overseas market policies, cross-border IP protection, and international technology exchange rules, helping attendees navigate these complex topics.

The representative from Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank, Fengxian Sub-branch dove into how local companies can navigate global markets, given today's trade climate. They laid out tailored finance solutions for cross-border settlement, exchange rate risk management, and trade financing.

Representatives from companies that have achieved success in overseas markets shared their practical experience and market insights with those eager to go global. Meanwhile, businesses that eye international moves voiced their questions and concerns. The vibe was far from a stuffy meeting—it felt like an industry catch-up among old friends.

Maria Jose Lopez Santana, a Spanish banking and finance expert on her first visit to China, loved the event's setup. She noted that in Europe, similar government-business interactions tend to be more formal. But Fengxian's "Afternoon Tea for Orders" felt different. "It's great how businesses and government can just sit together, really listen, and support each other," she said. "This kind of cooperation is so efficient and harmonious."

"This event was incredibly valuable," shared Xu Zhijie, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Guangdian Electric (Group) Co., Ltd. "We've gained a clear picture of policy support and risks, thanks to the insights from government and industry experts. More importantly, we now see the power of teamwork in global expansion. Moving forward, we plan to join forces with local companies to chart a course for our entire industry chain to go global."

Since it began, the "Afternoon Tea for Orders" has become a regular mechanism for Fengxian to boost its business climate and help companies thrive. These frequent, focused events do not just clarify policies and link up resources - they also let the government improve its services by really listening to and acting on what businesses need.
